In The Heights, Off-Broadway

Aside from my jealousy of Lin-Manuel Miranda - the overachieving composer, lyricist and star of the show - there is little to complain about "In The Heights". The mostly Latino neighborhood of Washington Heights is the backdrop for infectious hip-hop rhymes and high-octane salsa dancing in a production full of contemporary energy. Despite some gritty elements in the story, this is essentially feel-good entertainment that had us tapping our feet even after the show.
