Ed's Lobster Bar, New York

Overall: Seafood heaven.
Cost: $50 incl. wine

Pearl Oyster Bar's sous chef created a more modern space but kept a similar seafood shack menu a Ed's. Fortunately, the quality has been maintained as well. The signature lobster roll is stuffed with ocean-fresh meat lightly tossed with mayo and chives, overflowing out of a buttered, toasted bun. Even the fried clams were large and juicy with just the right amount of crispy batter. Expect a wait on any given day, but the counter seating and small tables ensure that turnover is quick.
