Artist Doug Aitken’s "Sleepwalkers" installation is a viscerally lush experience. Eight film sequences following five characters (including Donald Sutherland and Tilda Swinton) around New York are being projected at night on the various exterior facades of the Museum of Modern Art. Watch the cinematic narrative unfold within the MoMA’s sculpture garden, or on 53rd Street across the main museum entrance... absorbing the dreamy images with the low hum of the city in your ears will expand your perception of what public art can be.
